Davis (D-IL) and Education and Labor Committee Chairman Robert C. “Bobby” Scott (D-VA) released the following statements regarding a newly-released Government Accountability Office (GAO) report requested by the two Members that demonstrates how investments in quality child care through the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) improve the availability and quality of child care across the board.

I believe it is time and imperative that the United States House of Representatives begin an impeachment inquiry whether the House of Representatives should impeach Donald John Trump, President of the United States of America. To that end I will be requesting that my name be added as a co-sponsor of H. Res. 257. It is my hope that the House will move forward in as unified and non-partisan manner as possible but will not be dissuaded by purely political opposition.

CHICAGO – Building off sweeping federal legislation they passed in 2018 to help children exposed to trauma, U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) and U.S. Representative Danny Davis (D-IL-07) announced new bipartisan legislation to increase support for children who have been exposed to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma, such as witnessing violence, parental addiction, or abuse.

Casey, Jr. (D-PA) marked National Foster Care Month with a suite of bills to strengthen the economic and educational well-being of foster youth and their families.
