Congressman Danny K. Davis (D-IL07), in his role as Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Federal Workforce, Postal Service and the District of Columbia of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, today issued the following statement expressing his satisfaction with the agreement reached between the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Blue Cross and Blue Shield Associations (BCBS) Federal Employee Health Program (FEP) over proposed changes in benefits for 2009.

I am seriously disappointed and saddened by the allegations and quotations contained in the Criminal Complaint released by U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald this morning. These allegations suggest corruption and criminal activity in the office of the Governor on a massive scale. In a state still rocked by the convictions of Governors George Ryan, Dan Walker and Otto Kerner, this document suggests wrongdoing on a scale never before seen.
