U.S. Congressman Danny K. Davis Concerned over Data Showing African Americans Most Likely to Take Out Dangerous Student Loans
Washington, D.C.- On Tuesday, August 25, 2009, U.S. Congressman Danny K. Davis voiced concern today following the release today of a study indicating that more undergraduate students, and especially African American students, are taking out private student loans today than four years ago.

The Congressional Black Caucus today released copies of letters to Speaker Pelosi and President Obama on the urgency of real health care reform. The letters set out the basic principles which the caucus believes must be included in the final legislation. The letters are linked below.
Rethinking Federal Sentencing Policy
In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Sentencing Reform Act, theCongressional Black Caucus Community Re-Investment Taskforce is hostinga sentencing symposium, entitled "Rethinking Federal Sentencing Policy,25th Anniversary of the Sentencing Reform Act."
