Statement of the Passing of John Conyers

John Conyers, Dean of the House, co-founder of the Congressional Black Caucus has been called home. He was a champion for civil rights, health care as a human right, reparations, voting rights and labor rights. A tireless fighter against police brutality, and for the protection of the environment. Longest serving African American Member of Congress, called upon to vote on two impeachments. His vision continues to help set the progressive agenda for Congress today.
