STATEMENT ON THE DEATH OF U. S. REPRESENTATIVE JACKIE WALORSKI

I'm stunned and saddened to hear of the tragic death of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski. Congresswoman Walorski was the Ranking Member of the Ways and Means Subcommittee, Worker and Family support that I Chair. We have worked collaboratively and collegiately for many years on the Ways and Means committee. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, her staff and their families, and the other victims of this terrible crash. While we differed politically on some issues, we worked together on many vital issues which seriously impacted the quality of life for all Americans.   I appreciated her talent, and I will miss her presence.
