Congressman Davis Comments on WTO Findings on Illegal Subsidies to Airbus
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Danny K. Davis, Member of the Ways and Means Committee, issues the following statement in support of the WTO finding:
“I am pleased that the World Trade Organization Panel issued a report that found that countries of the European Union have been illegally subsidizing Airbus. This report is vital in sustaining the reliability of the WTO process, and the integrity of the rules-based trading system that has been a key driver of global economic growth. Within my district, Boeing has a significant presence and continues to be a world leader in the aerospace industry. This ruling will allow them to remain competitive in these markets.”
