Rep. Davis statement in support of the 9/11 Health and Compensation Act

The attacks on September 11, 2001 remind us of the horrors of terror that can penetrate our country's boarders.  However, it also shows how resilient and dedicated our citizens can be during a time of crisis.  I am very proud of our first responders and I am in full support of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act. This bill will provide much needed medical assistance to those brave men and women who have become ill due to the dangerous toxins they inhaled during their rescue efforts.

I am pleased that these first responders firefighters, constructions workers, residents, area workers and even school children all of whom have been affected by the toxins that filled the air after the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001, will rest assured that they will now have access to the quality care that they desire to lead a productive life.
