As your representative in Congress, I believe that government works best when the people have a direct line to their elected officials. That’s why I’m inviting you to a special “Ask the Congressman” Town Hall Meeting — an open forum for you to share your questions, comments, and concerns.

This Town Hall is especially timely as we enter a critical period in our nation’s history. With the start of President Donald Trump’s second term, we are already seeing proposed changes that could have deep and lasting impacts on our district and the nation.

During the Town Hall, I will provide updates and welcome your input on a range of pressing federal issues, including:

🔹 Protecting Social Security & Medicare

President Trump has proposed restructuring these essential programs. I remain firmly opposed to any cuts and will continue fighting to preserve and expand benefits for seniors, the disabled, and working families.

🔹 Voting Rights and Civil Liberties

Efforts to restrict voting access have escalated. I’ll share what Congress is doing to safeguard your right to vote and defend our democratic institutions.

🔹 Criminal Justice Reform and Reentry

We must resist policies that deepen mass incarceration and support those returning from incarceration through reentry programs, employment access, and housing opportunities.

🔹 Reproductive Rights

Federal protections for reproductive health are under unprecedented threat. I will share how Congress is pushing back to protect personal freedoms and healthcare access.

🔹 Education and Student Loans

We’ll address changes to student loan forgiveness and public education funding that could impact families and future generations.

🔹 Affordable Housing and Public Safety

I’ll speak to housing access, public safety strategies, and how we can balance investments in communities over increased incarceration.
