WASHINGTON, DC (JANUARY 1, 2013) - STATEMENT FROM REP DAVIS ON LEGISLATION TO AVERTING THE FISCAL CLIFF - TOUTS CONSTIUTENTS APPEALS FOR ASSISTING THE MIDDLE CLASS AND THE POOR

Congressman Davis went to the floor of the House in support of the Senate passed legislation to averting the fiscal cliff.  Rep. Davis stated, "I have recieved various calls from my constituents asking that I support the bill as it will assist with programs to help the middle class and poor."  These programs include the extension of Emergency Unemployment Insurance, the Child Care Tax Credit, the Earned Income Tax Credit and the American Opportunity Tax Credit.
