On June 7, 2012, The Gold Room (2168 Rayburn House Office Building) from 9:00-10:30 a.m. I will host a forum about fatherhood, healthy families, child welfare and reentry community stakeholders as we weigh issues raised by father absence-and the social and economic context affecting men's abilities to be responsible fathers-that spans a wide spectrum of social policy domains including income support, employment and training, housing, and the criminal justice system.

Guest panelists will share private initiatives and federal cross-cutting initiatives aimed at coordinating the cooperation and collaboration among existing public programs impacting poor low-income working men towards the attainment of ensuring positive effects on their children particularly during times of economic downturn.
